Interactive activities organized by the Homs Directorate of Culture—such as movement games, handicrafts, art workshops, and informal learning—add a new dimension to children’s experiences in cultural centers. For example, 60 young children recently participated in two days of creative workshops, where they were encouraged not only to learn but to act, create, and collaborate.

These programs build self-confidence, teamwork, sensory and cognitive skills, while turning free time into opportunities for growth. In a city that has endured difficult years, such activities also restore safe cultural spaces for children, shifting leisure from passive entertainment to active learning and community participation.
